Dorothy Lillian Miller

Dorothy Lillian Miller, 89, of Haddock, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2026. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 30, 2026, at Hart’s Mortuary, Jones County Chapel.

Daughter of the late Floyd Jack Goodson Sr. and Elva Jewel Crissey Goodson, Dorothy was born in Macon, Georgia on September 21, 1937. Dorothy earned her teaching certificate from Georgia Teachers College. She taught 4th grade for a few years before raising four children and working on the farm with her husband, Walter Miller. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Dorothy will be lovingly remembered by her children: Elva Methe of Haddock, Joe Miller (Nikki) of Haddock, Robert Miller of Haddock, and Misty Foster (Kirk) of Jones County; seven grandchildren: Robby Story, Joanna Story, Ansley Miller, Griffin Miller, Elizabeth Reliford, Randy Foster (April), and Rayce Foster; eleven great grandchildren: Kevin, Brooklynn, Joshua, Daniel, Jacob, Kaylee Rose, Raylynn, Farrah, Oliver, Ryder, and Annie; two great great grandchildren, Bentley and Brynlee; and brother, Jimmy Goodson (Nettie) of Macon;

In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Griffin Miller.
