Dorothy Susan Kennedy Runge

Macon- Dorothy Susan Kennedy Runge, 87, of 4669 South Stratford Oaks Drive, died Sunday, December 26, 2010. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at 1:00PM at Northview Cemetery, Dublin, Georgia. The family will greet friends on Wednesday from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Hart's Mortuary, Cherry Street, Macon, Georgia. Mrs. Runge worked for many years as a hairdresser and was owner of Dot's Beauty Salon in Dublin and later worked in Macon as a hairdresser. She was also a lady of fashion and enjoyed working in several ladies' apparel stores in Macon where she enjoyed all of the friends she made even more. But most important to Dot-Dot was her family. She was a loving, giving, and wonderful wife, Mama, grandmother and aunt and graciously spread that love throughout her entire family and friends. Mrs. Runge is survived by her husband, Theodore Runge of Macon; daughter, Kay Askew Kreft (Don) of Waleska, GA; sons, Larry T. Askew (Beverley) of Greensboro, GA, Monte Kellam of Macon, Joe Kellam (Renae) of Americus, GA, and Hamilton Runge of Macon; sisters, Marie Faulk, Carolyn Murphy and June Mullis (Gene), all of Dublin, GA, and Jane Harville of Macon; brother, Paul Kennedy (Maxine) of Dublin, GA; grandchildren, Allison Askew of Jefferson, GA, JoAnna Benson Kanadjian of Woodstock, GA, Jennifer Benson McClure of Roswell, GA and Charlie E. Kellam of Americus, GA; five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Billy and Evelyn Kennedy and Jack and Ellen Kennedy; brothers-in-law, Olan Faulk, Julian Murphy and Freeman Harville.
