Dorothy Nelms Gray

Dorothy Nelms Gray, 80, of Macon, died Friday, July 2, 2010. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Sunday, July 4, 2010 at Wesleyan Drive Baptist Church with Troy Dykes, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Poulan City Cemetery in Poulan, Georgia at 5:30pm following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wesleyan Drive Baptist Church, 939 Wesleyan Drive, Macon, GA 31210. The family will greet friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Saturday at Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road.

Mrs. Gray was a member of Wesleyan Drive Baptist Church and the Four Seasons Garden Club. She was the widow of John D. Gray, Jr. and the daughter of the late Jesse Robert Nelms, Sr. and Velma Bell Nelms. She was predeceased by a brother Eddie Nelms.

Mrs. Gray is survived by three children, Janet Gray of Athens, Georgia, John Mark Gray and his wife Virginia of Hoschton, Georgia, and Katherine Gray Jackson and her husband Mickey of Bentonville, Arkansas; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; brother, Bob Nelms and his wife Billie of Sylvester, Georgia; and sister, Carolyn Sams and her husband Bill of Sylvester.
