Macon-Dorothy Baird Earwood, 93, died Monday, October 20, 2008. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Thursday, October 23, 2008 at Ridout's Funeral Home Chapel in Birmingham, AL with the Reverend Malcolm E. Larkin officiating. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham, AL. The family will greet friends on Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road, Macon, GA from 5:00-7:00PM.

Mrs. Earwood was the widow of Amos Jady Earwood and the daughter of the late Charlie Baird and the late Mary Whitlock. She was a lifelong resident of Birmingham, AL. Mrs. Earwood attended Martha Bowman Memorial United Methodist Church and the Joy Circle. She was a member of Central Park United Methodist Church in Birmingham and was a former member of Ensley First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Earwood was an artist and designer of billboards and church bulletin boards.
Mrs. Earwood is survived by Glenda Faye Earwood of Macon; Wailon Earwood of Cullman, AL; Gail Robbins of Birmingham, AL; grandchildren, Private Art Smith of South Korea and his wife, Kayla Smith of Macon, Susan Reid of Cullman, AL, Sherry Montgomery of Tuscaloosa, AL, John Philpot of Birmingham, Brian Philpot of Birmingham, Robin Smith of Cullman, and Beth Jimmerson of Cullman; great grandson, Caleb Michael Smith of Macon; sister, Mary Faye Gouldon of Boca Raton, FL; and numerous great grandchildren; Great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
