Macon- Doris Hubbard Sapp, 90, died Thursday, June 9, at Magnolia Manor in Macon, where she had lived for 27 years. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Rumford Center's Mills Chapel of The Methodist Home for Children and Youth in Macon. The family will receive friends following the service. Mrs. Sapp was born in Laurens County, raised her family in Bleckley County, and moved to Macon in 1969 where she was employed at Arlene's dress shop. She loved learning and taught that same love to her four children. She especially loved music, theater, reading, crocheting, and craft projects. Preceded in death by her husband, W.C. Sapp, she is survived by sons Roger C. (Janice) Sapp and Kevin F. (Janice) Sapp of Macon and daughters Kathy (Lee) Lovett of Gainesville and Edith "Boo" (Raymond) Padgett of Savannah. Her survivors also include seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Magnolia Manor, 200 Pierce Ave., Macon, GA 31204 or to The Methodist Home for Children and Youth, 304 Pierce Ave., Macon, GA 31204. According to Mrs. Sapp's request, her body was donated to Mercer University School of Medicine. Hart's Mortuary and Crematory, Cherry Street, assisted with arrangements.
