Macon-Doris Minix passed away Thursday, October 14, 2010. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road. Burial will be in Glen Haven. Visitation will be between 7:00-9:00PM on Friday, October 15, 2010 at Hart's at the Cupola. Family may be contacted at 158 Alpine Drive, Byron, GA. Mrs. Minix retired from Bibb Manufacturing Co. as a bookkeeper. She was predeceased by her parents, Walter and Nancy Roan, and her brother, Winton Roan. Mrs. Minix was a doting grandmother and great grandmother. Surviviors include her son, Mike Minix (Debbie) of Lizella; daughter, Beverly Minix of Byron; sister, Sylvia Hester of Macon; two granddaughters, Shannon Halsted of Macon and Melanie Harnist of Lizella; four great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Sheila Pritchett, Vicky Worley, and Caroline Usher.
