Doris "Dot" G. Mcdaniel

Doris "Dot" G. McDaniel died Saturday, March 5, 2016. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 7, 2016 at Mabel White Baptist Church, with the Reverend Joe McDaniel, Judge Stephen Dillard, and Coach Chad McDaniel officiating. Burial will be at 3 pm in Oak Lawn Cemetery in Ft. Valley. The family will greet friends on Sunday between 5:30 and 7:30 PM at Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road. Memorial donations may be made to Musella Baptist Church, P. O. Box 56, Musella, GA 31066 or to Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Road, Macon, GA 31210. Mrs. McDaniel was a 1938 graduate of Ashburn High School. She was a member of Mabel White Baptist Church from 1954 until 2010, where she was involved in preschool and children's ministry for 40 years and was a member of the Golden Agers. She has been a member of Musella Baptist Church since 2010 where she has been a member of the Fidelis Sunday School Class. Mrs. McDaniel was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary for the United Transportation Union and was a Pink Lady at the Medical Center for 17 years, where she was named Pink Lady of the Year. Mrs. McDaniel was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Billie McDaniel, and four brothers. Mrs. McDaniel is survived by her son, Joe (Cynthia) McDaniel of Macon; grandchildren: Krista (Stephen) Dillard of Macon and Chad (Stephanie) McDaniel of Peachtree Corners, Georgia; great- grandchildren: Jackson Dillard, Betsy McDaniel, Stafford McDaniel, Lindley Dillard, Mary Margaret Dillard, and Ginny Kate McDaniel; and her brother, James Geoghagan of Tampa, Florida.
