Donald Frank Veader

Macon-Donald Frank Veader passed away Thursday, May 5, 2011 at his residence. Don was born on the Fourth of July in Florham Park, NJ. He graduated from Madison High, in NJ. He served in the US Navy as a radio operator during the Korean War. Don graduated from the University of Georgia on the GI Bill. He served as president of Sigma Chi while attending UGA. He met Claire (his wife of 55 years) at UGA. Don retired from GEICO. He is predeceased by his wife Claire Elder Veader and parents Leslie Burke and Harriette Young Veader of Madison, NJ. Surviving children Steve (Sheriel); Donna (Kevin); David and Ted. Four grandchildren Amanda,Callie,Natalie,Seth and one great-grandchild Madison. A "Celebration of Life" will be held Monday, May 9, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Hart's Mortuary on Cherry Street with the Reverend Tommy Freeman officiating. Interment will be private.
