Donald R. Gottshall

Macon- Donald R.Gottshall, 86, of 5939 Plantation Villa Drive North, died Tuesday, April 26, 2011. Memorial services will be held on Friday, April 29, 2011 at 2:00PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Alan McDonald officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 4406, Macon, Georgia 31208. Mr. Gottshall was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a member of VFW. He was one of five brothers and one sister. Mr. Gottshall served in the United States Army during World War II and received a Purple Heart, among various other medals. He met his wife, Mary, who served in the United States Navy, and married her following the war. Mr. Gottshall is survived by his children, D. Douglas Gottshall (Joy) of Weeki Wachee, Florida and Cynthia M. Gottshall of Macon; granddaughter, Elizabeth Gottshall of Macon; brother, William L. Gottshall (Noriand) of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
