Dixie Mcpherson Brown

Dixie McPherson Brown passed away Saturday, January 26, 2019 at her home, surrounded by family. A celebration of Dixie’s life will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Elam Baptist Church of Gray at 12:30PM with Gary Thomas and Sarah Ulm officiating. The family will greet friends from 11:00AM to 12:30PM prior to the service.

Dixie was preceded in death by her mother, Georgia Vinson; step-mother, Marty McPherson; and step-brother, Charles Vinson.

Dixie was a member of Elam Baptist Church of Gray and worked as a nurse. She especially enjoyed being a Grammy to her grandchildren and was a devoted wife and mother. Dixie will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Dixie is survived by her husband, Donnie Brown; father, Karl McPherson; step-father, Gary Vinson; children: Kristen Cleghorn (Michael), Meghan Addison (Keith), Brooks Brown (Leslee), and Amy Brown; grandchildren: Anslee, Lexee, Cohen, Tensley, Brylee, Annistyn, and Kenley; brother, Scott McPherson (Patty); and step-sister, Sylvia Davis (Chip).
