Dexter Bresse

Dexter Bresse, 86, of Gray, passed away Thursday, October 21, 2021.  Services will be held at the Hart's Mortuary Jones County Chapel at 12:30 PM on Tuesday, October 26.  Interment will be private at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville, Georgia.

Son of the late Charles A. and Gertrud D. Ryan, Mr. Bresse was a veteran of the United States Army, where he was a drill instructor.  He and his wife managed hotels across the United States from 1976 until 1988.  He was employed with Universal Packaging for 25 years, where he was a lead foreman.  He was an avid golfer, as well.  Mr. Bresse was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Rosenzweig Bresse.

Mr. Bresse is survived by his children, Penni Bresse Fields, and Rusty Bresse (Janet), both of Gray; grandchildren, Marcy Pearson (Michael), Troy Fields (Ciara), Joanna White (Corey), Anthony Locklear (Sequoia), Staci Bresse, Ryan Bresse (Cheyenne), Rachale Bresse, Jericho Bresse, and Jonah Bresse; and 12 great grandchildren.

Hart’s on Cherry Street, Hart's Mortuary and Cremation Center, 765 Cherry Street, Macon, GA 31201 has charge of the arrangements.
