DeWitt T. Frederick, Jr. died Tuesday, September 11, 2012. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at 11:00AM at Riverside Cemetery with the Reverend John Kinser officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to United Hospice, 6060 Lakeside Commons Drive, Macon, Georgia 31210 or to the charity of the donor's choice. Mr. Frederick was predeceased by his wife, Effie Lou Bonds Frederick, his parents, Dewitt Frederick, Sr. and Katherine Stone Frederick, two sisters, Frances Smith and Margie Frederick, and a brother, Robert C. Frederick. He lived in Macon most of his life. Mr. Frederick attended Lanier High School and Young Harris College. He was the Executive Vice President of Power Oil Company and later, he owned his own real estate company. Mr. Frederick was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Mabel Lodge 225, F. and A. M., Scottish Rite and Al Sihah Temple and was past exalted ruler of the Macon Elks Lodge 230. He was a member of Idle Hour Golf and Country Club. Mr. Frederick is survived by his sister-in-law, Eloise Smith Bonds of Benson, North Carolina and his niece and nephew, Nancy Smith of Valdosta and Joseph Bonds Priester of Washington, DC.
