Delores C. Worley

Delores C. Worley, 86, of Juliette, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2026. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at Hart’s at the Cupola. The family will greet friends for a reception following the service. Burial will be private.

Born in Columbus, Georgia, on June 28, 1940, Delores was the daughter of the late Buford Jones Campbell and Katherine Mercer Campbell and the widow of her first husband, Jimmie Scarborough, and her second husband, Jamie Luther Worley.

Delores was a 1958 graduate of Miller High School and attended Georgia Baptist Nursing School. She dedicated nearly 40 years of service to Robins Air Force Base, where she worked in procurement.

Delores was a faithful member of Ingleside Baptist Church. She loved reading, playing the piano, and needlepointing. She generously shared her gift of music with her family, friends, and church. She also spent many happy hours creating beautiful needlepointing pieces that will be treasured by those who received them. The joy of her heart was spending time with her family.

Delores is survived by her daughter, Deanna Grice (Samuel) of Salem, South Carolina; son, Mark Scarborough of Juliette, Georgia; stepdaughters, Cristy Bennett (Greg) and Laura O'Neill; grandchildren: Samuel Grice III (Sarah) of Simpsonville, South Carolina, Andrew Grice (Amelia) of Antelope, California, Hannah Gallipeau (John) of Greenville, South Carolina; great grandchildren: Emily Clara Grice, Anna Frances Grice, and Lucy Louise Gallipeau; step grandchildren: Caroline O’Neill Gage (Christian), Annie O’Neill, Emily Bennett and Chad Bennett (Rachel); Step great grandchildren: Anna Faith, Frankie, & Ace Bennett; sisters: Donna Bacchus (Jim) and Kathy Laven.
