Delmus Harold Sutton

Delmus Harold Sutton died Tuesday, September 13, 2011. Funeral services will be at 12 PM on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road. The Reverend Mike Manley will officiate. The family will greet friends at 11:00 AM on Saturday before the service. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street, Macon, Georgia 31201. Mr. Sutton was a veteran of the United States Air Force, having served in World War II. He worked for many years as a train engineer at Robins Air Force Base. He was a motorcycle patrolman for the Macon Police department, owner of Tol's Package Store on Riverside Drive and Midtown Motors. He was an avid car enthusiast, known as "Speedy." Mr. Sutton was predeceased by his wife, Peggy Sutton, and his brother, Dallas Sutton. Mr. Sutton is survived by his son, Richard H. Sutton (Lea) of Macon; daughter, Theresa Hibberd of Macon; four grandchildren, Aaron Sutton of Macon, Melissa Sutton of Texas, Jason Hibberd (Alison) of Roswell, Georgia, and Misty Rowland (Ben) of Cumming, Georgia; four great-grandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
