Della Goodroe Ward, 90, of Macon, Georgia died Tuesday, May 23, 2017. Services will be held on Sunday, May 28, 2017 at 2:00PM in the Chapel of Hart's Mortuary, 765 Cherry Street, with the Reverend Joe McDaniel officiating. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park. The family will greet friends on Sunday from 1:00PM until 2:00PM at the funeral home. Mrs. Ward, daughter of the late RJ and Vera Goodroe, was predeceased by her son, Steve A. Ward, and her sister, Aline Rogers. She loved playing Bingo, fishing and dancing. Mrs. Ward was retired from the Shoe Shack and Burlington Coat Factory. Mrs. Ward is survived by her daughter, Elaine LaFavor (Carey) of Macon; grandson, Jason Ward (Tina) of Forsyth, Georgia; great-grandsons, Pace Ward and Jude Ward, both of Forsyth, Georgia; sisters, Paula Crump of Centerville, Georgia and Shirley Swearengen of Dudley, Georgia; several nieces and nephews.
