Debra Truelove Edmonson

Debra Edmonson, affectionately known as Grandma, Nana, and Mema, passed away on September 14, 2021. She was born in Fitzgerald, GA on November 30, 1955, to WB and Louise Truelove. She loved her family more than anything. Her favorite things to do were having her family over to her home and enjoying each other’s company, fishing with her husband, and shopping at Belk and Hobby Lobby. She’s been described by those who knew her as someone who treated everyone like her family and a caring, loving wife, mother, grandparent, sister, and friend. She left her mark on the hearts of many who loved her, and she will be dearly missed by anyone who met her.

Debra was preceded in death by her parents, W.B. and Louise Truelove, and grandson, James Faulkner. She is survived by her husband, the love of her life, Jerry Edmonson, of 30 years; siblings, Monty (Sissy) Truelove and Danny (Elaine) Truelove; children, Heather Faith (Paul) Stokes of Eatonton, Nelson (Kirsten) Easler of Canada, Brian (Beth) Edmonson, Laurie (Butch) Bryan, Kim (Scott) Dobson, Josh (Katie) Edmonson, all of Gray; 12 grandchildren, Brittany (Katie), Brice, Brianna, Josie, Brooke, Rhett, Olivia, Peyton, Abby, Sophie, Isaac, and Jace; great-grandchildren, Kyndle, Karson and Mason; and several nieces and nephews.

A drop-in memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at the home of Debra and Jerry. The address is 502 Griswoldville Rd Macon, GA 31217. All those who knew and loved Debra are invited to attend. The family will be available from noon until 5:00 pm. Please come at a time that is convenient for you. The family would love to hear your memories of Debra. In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to donate to your favorite charity in Debra’s memory.
