Dawson "Phil" Justice

Dawson “Phil” Justice, 64, of Gray, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2022.  A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 23, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Hart’s Mortuary, Jones County Chapel with the Reverend John Haney officiating.  The family will greet friends Wednesday, June 22, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Hart’s Jones County Chapel.  Burial will be held Thursday, before the service at 11:00 a.m. at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Milledgeville, Georgia.

Mr. Justice was a Jones County High School graduate.  He retired from the United States Army with 21 years.  He then went on to work and retire from Norfolk Southern Railroad with 21 years of service.  Mr. Justice enjoyed fishing, hunting, and both NFL and college football.  He was also an avid BBQ enthusiast.

Mr. Justice was preceded in death by his father, Dawson Arthur Justice.

Mr. Justice is survived by his wife, Bonnie Charlene Justice of Gray; children, David Justice (Deanna) of Griffin, Georgia, Dawson Don Justice (Kristal) of Macon, Georgia, Tiffanie Taylor (Cody) of Gray, Donald Harvey, III and Tyler Harvey, both of Byron, Georgia; grandchildren, Taylor Justice, Nickolas Justice, Ansleigh Taylor, Brandon Taylor, Aubreigh Taylor, Angelo Rivera, Alex Justice, Anna Justice, Aiden Justice, and Abel Justice; mother, Gloria Joanne Jackson Justice; brother, Janz Randal Justice; sister, Brena Thornton;  fur baby, Bitters; and several nieces and nephews.
