David L. Smith, 65, passed away Thursday, August 7, 2014. A graveside service will be held Sunday, August 10 at 3:00PM in Middle Georgia Memory Gardens, 3225 Joycliff Road, Macon, Georgia 31211. The family will greet friends Saturday 5:00 PM to 7:00PM at the funeral home. David was born in Abbyville, Georgia to the late Robert and Agnes Smith and he retired from Asbestos Local Wokers # 48 after 30 years. He is survived by his son, David (Angie) Smith; grandchildren, Lesley Smith, DJ Smith, Bethany Smith, Layla smith and Triston; great grandchildren, Keith, Cale and Kayden; two sisters, Loretta Kitchens and Betty (Robert) Kennedy; longtime companion, Ms. Sharon and her children, Shelly and Mike; and extended family and friends.
