David Larry Hartley

Macon- David L. "Larry" Hartley, 76, of 2750 Stanley Drive, died Monday, February 6, 2012. Services will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at 11:00AM in the Chapel of Hart's Mortuary, Cherry Street, with the Reverend Jason Wade officiating. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park. The family may be contacted at the residence and will greet friends on Tuesday from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Mr. Hartley was retired from Atlanta Gas Light Company after forty-four years of service. He was lovingly known as "Papa" and was an avid hunter, fisherman and softball player. Mr. Hartley is survived by his wife, Barbara Hartley of Macon; children, Sharon Sheffield (Jimmy) of Macon and David W. Hartley (Penni) of Gray; grandchildren, Shanell Berta (Johnny) of Gray, Niki Logue (Brandon) of Gordon and Hunter Hartley of Gray; great-grandsons, Kody Berta and Kaden Berta, both of Gray; sister, Helen Henry of Macon.
