Darlene F. Ellis

Darlene F. Ellis, 62, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2014. Graveside services will be held Friday, March 28 at 2:00pm in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, 7070 Houston Road. Dr. Rob Kestler will officiate. The family will greet friends Thursday, March 27 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the funeral home.

Darlene was born in Macon to the late Benton Fordham and Hilda Long. She was a waitress at Shoney’s for 22 years and a member of Hilltop Baptist Church. Darlene is predeceased by her son, Lonnie Wingate and grandson, Christopher Raborn.

She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, William “Bill” Ellis; two daughters, Amanda Ellis and Shelley Thaxton; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild; and extended family and friends.
