Daniel Christopher Mermann, 21, of Kennesaw, Georgia, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2015, as a passenger in an automobile accident. A native of Melbourne, Florida, Daniel had been a resident of Macon, Georgia for most of his life. He was born September 22, 1993 to Mr. Terry Mermann and Mrs. Debra Brown. Daniel was a graduate of Howard High School in Macon, GA. After graduation, he attended Kennesaw State University, where he was pursuing his degree in Exercise Science. Daniel was a member of Macon International House of Prayer. Daniel had a passion for soccer and basketball. He was an avid fan of the Oklahoma City Thunder. Daniel had a contagious laugh and a wonderful sense of humor. Daniel was courageous in his struggles. His determination and faithfulness in his relationship with God was an inspiration to all who knew him. Daniel was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Charlene Mermann. Survivors include his father Terry Mermann, wife Michelle of Brunswick, GA; his mother Debra Ann Brown, husband Robert of Macon, GA; three step- sisters Elizabeth Jolley of Chattanooga, TN, Rose Brown of Chattanooga, TN, and Catherine Tillitski of Atlanta, GA; his step-brother Christopher Tillitski of Athens, GA; his maternal grandparents Jacqueline Faye Jennette of Palm Bay, FL and LTC Larry Jennette of Palm Bay, FL; his paternal grandfather Brendon Mermann of Fleming Island, FL. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 24, 2015 from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held 1 p.m., Friday, September 25, 2015 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Father Tim McKeown officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers will be Larry Jennette, Frank Dazey, Joe Dougherty, David Blazek, Ryan Russell, and Stephen Hotard. A Memorial Service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Hart's Cupola, Macon, Ga. Visitation with the Family will begin at 1 p.m. Family request memorial contributions to be made to Providence Ministries: Christian Addiction Residential Program, Our Master's Camp 277 Boys Camp Road, Pikesville, TN 37367, In loving memory of Daniel Mermann or to the charity of choice.
