Daniel Tyler Hawkins

Daniel Tyler Hawkins was received into the arms of Jesus on July 31, 2026. Born in Macon, Georgia, on December 28, 1990, Daniel brought so much warmth and light into the world during his 35 years of life.

Daniel did not live a life without struggle but he did live a life of deep faith in Jesus Christ. He never missed an opportunity to encourage and pray with anyone in need. “Always have vertical thinking” was the motto he strived to live by—keep your eyes focused up on God. His family is comforted knowing that he is at peace with his Savior.

Those who had the privilege of knowing Daniel understand just how truly remarkable he was. He possessed a contagious laugh and a smile that could light up any room. He had a natural way of making people feel included and loved. Daniel’s compassion for others touched countless lives on so many levels. He found peace in nature and comfort in God's creation through golfing, hunting, fishing, and working outdoors.

Daniel will be deeply missed for the incredible person that he was. His kindness, laughter, and the love he shared with family and friends will remain with us always. His presence made the people around him stronger in ways that will last forever. His legacy will continue to inspire us all to treat one another with the same graciousness and generosity that he exuded. In the words of his employer: #DoitforDaniel

Daniel is survived by his parents, David Hawkins, and Janie & Trip Wilhoit; his sister and brother-in-law, Mindy and Girard Jones; his sister, Brooke Williams; his cherished nieces and nephew, Avery Jones, Brinley Williams, and Graden Jones; and so many family members, friends and colleagues who loved him.

The family will honor his life and legacy in a private service. During this time, they respectfully ask for privacy. In lieu of visits, your thoughts and prayers are deeply appreciated.
