Dana Wayne Redd

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dana Wayne Redd , age 55, of Macon on May 6, 2025.  He was a man who radiated love, kindness, and unwavering faith.  Dana departed this life leaving behind a legacy of compassion and warmth that touched all who knew him.

Dana was born on July 21, 1969, to Janet Everhardt Windham of Macon and the late Wayne David Redd of Milledgeville. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Lisa R. Thomas.

Dana was a rare soul — the kind of person who never met a stranger. His natural warmth, disarming smile, and genuine interest in others made everyone feel like family. Whether through a thoughtful conversation, a helping hand, or a simple word of encouragement, Dana had a way of seeing people and making them feel valued.

As a son , Dana honored his family with deep respect and a strong sense of devotion. As a brother, he was steady, supportive, and full of laughter and loyalty. As a father , his love knew no bounds — he cherished his daughter.

Though Dana’s physical presence will be missed dearly, his memory remains — in every act of kindness we extend and in every memory we hold close. We find comfort in knowing that he is at peace and in Jehovah's loving memory.

Dana is survived by his mother, Janet E. Windham and stepfather, Charles Windham of Macon; his sister, Ashley R Maddox of Gray (& Chris); his brother, Frankie E. Bates of Gray (& Haley); his daughter, Macee Redd of Michigan; 2 granddaughters, 4 nephews, and five nieces.

A memorial service for Dana will be held at Hart’s Mortuary on Cherry Street in Macon, GA on Friday, May 9, 2025, at 2pm. Friends and family can visit following the services.
