Damon Blair Knight

Damon Blair Knight, 59, of Gray, passed away Friday, September 4, 2020 to be with his heavenly Father and Savior. A funeral service will be Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at 2:00 PM, at First Baptist Church of Gray with the Reverend Randy Darnell officiating. Family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Macon Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Youth Ministry at the First Baptist Church of Gray.

Damon was born August 15, 1961 to the late Reverend Louis C.  Knight and Neva Blair Knight Moreno. He was a graduate of Mercer University with degrees in communications and political science.  He was an avid outdoorsman.

Damon is survived by his daughters, Jade Thibodeaux (Ronnie) of Gray, Georgia, and Ruby Holmes (Marcus) of Gray, Georgia; grandchildren, Mason Holmes, Reid Holmes, Trace Thibodeaux and Haven Thibodeaux; mother, Neva Moreno of Gray, Georgia; brother, Derek Louis Knight (Christy) of Byron, Georgia; sister, Neva Janine Knight (Terry Whitehead) of Gray, Georgia; two nieces, Sommer Kyle (Tyler) and Neva Danielle Evans; great niece, Breanna Welsh; and several cousins.
