Daisy Mae Etheridge Kitchens

Daisy Mae Etheridge Kitchens, 68, of Macon, passed away Monday, January 17, 2022.  The family will greet friends Wednesday, January 19, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Hart’s on Cherry Street.  Burial will be private at Liberty United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Kenny Parham officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wheeler Heights Baptist Church, 4318 Riggins Mill Rd, Macon, GA 31217, sponsor an animal in need of adoption, or donate items to Macon-Bibb County Animal Welfare.

Daughter of the late Flavil Richard and Nina Mae Lockhart Etheridge, Daisy was a retired veteran of the United States Navy as Chief Petty Officer.  She also retired from DeLoach Architects as project manager with over 30 years of service.  She was active in her church, Wheeler Heights Baptist Church.  She was artistic and was a wood worker and avid remodeler.  Daisy planned yearly family Callaway Gardens trips around Christmas for over the past 20 years.

Daisy is survived by her sisters, Mary McDaniel of Macon, and Patricia Johnson of Crawfordville, Florida; brother, Harris Etheridge of Jones County; and nieces, Michelle Molton, Nicky Hulett (John), Tracy Head, all of Macon, and Christi Matthews of Gray; nephews, John Forkner, of Macon, and James “JD” Etheridge (Kelsey), and Mike Etheridge, both of Gray; many great nieces and nephews; and 2 great great nieces and nephews.
