Curtis Henry Wilder

Mr. Curtis H. Wilder, age 71, passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2017 after a short battle with cancer. Visitation will be held from 2 pm to 4 pm on Saturday, June 17 at Hart's Mortuary at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road, Macon, Georgia. Funeral services will be held at Hart's at the Cupola on Monday, June 20 at 3 pm, with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, Inc., 804 Cherry Street, Macon, Georgia 31201. Mr. Wilder was a lifelong resident of Macon, and worked at General Tire, at Armstrong, and as a Bailiff with the Bibb County Sheriff's Office. He was an avid fan of all sports, including NASCAR, hunting and fishing, and coached many young athletes in baseball, basketball, youth football, and softball. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Maxine and oldest son Ernest. Mr. Wilder is survived by his three youngest children: Bo (Melanie), Lois McCook (John), and Matt; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Mr. Wilder is also survived by his brothers and sisters: Charlie (Faye), Betty Wilder Land, Jane Daugherty, Johnny, Tommy (Kathy), Kay Rozier (James), "Little" Faye Weiss (Jesse), Jack (Susan), and Charles (Shannon). Mr. Wilder's large and loving family includes 102 nieces and nephews, and many cousins and dear friends.
