Connie Jane Thompson Kitchens, 69, of Macon, Georgia died Sunday, June 4, 2017. Services will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at 1:00PM in the Chapel of Hart's Mortuary, 765 Cherry Street. Burial will be in Kitchens Cemetery, Highway 57. The family will greet friends on Wednesday from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at the funeral home. Mrs. Kitchens grew up in East Macon and attended Fort Hawkins Elementary School. She loved Macon and the history of Macon. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and taking care of children. Mrs. Kitchens retired from Fabra Care. She was a member of Baptist Gospel Mission Church. She was predeceased by her first husband of twenty years, Don Kitchens, and her brother, Darrell Thompson. Mrs. Kitchens is survived by her daughters, Tina Yancey (Bill), Melissa Kitchens, Donna Kitchens and Samantha Tyler (Mark); grandchildren, Crystal Schoepf, Maggie Maxie, Sidney Yancey, Sarah Yancey, Darla deCarle, Jackson Tyler, Janie Barnes and Emily Warren; great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Laila, Daniel and Blakely; sister, Shirley Thompson; former husband, Mike McCleskey.
