Connie Lee Newhouse Mize

Connie Lee Newhouse Mize, 58, of Gray, Georgia passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2020. A memorial service will be Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Hart’s Mortuary, Jones County Chapel with Dr. Ron McClung officiating.

Connie was born August 30, 1962 in West Virginia to Lewis and Yvonne Newhouse. She is survived by her loving husband, Kent Mize of Gray; mother,  Yvonne Edens Newhouse of Gray; four children, Sarah Elizabeth Pittman (Todd) of Locust Grove, Lewis Gregory Newhouse Cook of Gray, Amber Renee Mize of Warner Robins, and Brian Steven Mize of Conyers;  five grandchildren, Olivia Danielle Pittman, Natalie Elizabeth Pittman, Merlin Mize, Gavin Mize, and Anakin Mize; two sisters, Cathy Lynn Sowards and Amy Yvonne Newhouse, both of West Virginia; one nephew, Paul Sowards of West Virginia, and many loving cousins.

Connie was a member of Haddock Baptist Church and a former clerk for the Jones County Board of Commissioners. She considered herself an eclectic gardener, tending to various types of plants. She loved shopping, keeping up with the latest fashion, and baking for her family and friends. Connie loved her dogs, considering them part of her family.

Hart’s Jones County Chapel, Hart's Mortuary and Cremation Center, 307 Pecan Lane, Gray, GA 31032 has charge of the arrangements.
