Colonel Tim Nelson

Colonel Tim Nelson, 55, passed away Friday, August 28th, 2015. He was a true patriot and loved his country. He served in the United States Army and in the United States Air Force Reserves and was planning to retire by the end of this year. His love of life touched so many, he will be missed. Colonel Nelson was predeceased by his Mother, Judy Nelson and is survived by his Father, George Nelson; his wife, Sherry Giddings Nelson; his children, Jennifer Giddings and Alex Knaub; his grandson, Jace; his brother and wife, Tom and Maureen Nelson and children; and his sister and husband, Tamara Nelson and Jeff Warne. Services will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at 5:00PM at Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road, Macon, Georgia 31210. The family will greet friends on Wednesday from 3:00PM until 5:00PM at the Cupola. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wounded Warriors Foundations.
