Clarence Henry) (John) Henderson, Jr.

TWIGGS COUNTY- Clarence (John Henry) Henderson,Jr of Twiggs County, entered into eternal life on Saturday, March 28,2009. Mr Henderson was born in Barnesville, Georgia on March 12,1931. He spent 14 years in the US Navy and 11 years at Robins Air Force Base as an airplane mechanic. He served as a Wilkinson County Police Officer for a short time, then became a full time police officer with the Macon Police Department, where he retired in 1995 after 21 years of service. He is preceded in death by a son Thomas Wayne Henderson and a grandson James Michael Raffield. He is survived by two sons Justin Lee Henderson of Macon and Chris Henderson of Florida; one daughter Gail Y. Vest of Pembroke, Georgia; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Sister Johnnie Culverhouse of Warner Robins, Georgia, two stepsisters Peggy Johnson and Bobbi Young of Lake Sinclair and one brother Howard Henderson. Several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at 2:00PM at Evergreen Cemetery with the Reverend David Self officiating. The family will greet friends on Tuesday from 7:00PM until 9:00PM at Hart's Mortuary, Cherry Street. Friends can register online at www.hartsmort.com.
