Clarence Foskey

Clarence S. Foskey passed away in the early morning hours of August 1, 2026, at his home in Jones County. Clarence, born May 6, 1958, was the youngest boy and the eighth of nine children born to the late Cleveland Jim & Thelma Alice Hall Foskey in Eastman, GA.

Clarence worked many jobs before settling in at Geico for fifteen years, moving from the Macon office to the Lakeland, FL office. After 15 years he left Geico for Piedmont Construction. He retired from Piedmont Construction in Macon after serving for many years as their Human Resources Director.

Clarence loved all things beautiful. Whether it was old furniture that he restored or a flower that needed love and care, he would spend whatever time it took to bring it back to life. The yard at his home was filled with trees, shrubs, vegetables, fruits and always beautiful blooms. He took great care to love the people in his life and enjoyed recalling stories of his life growing up. He was a good cook, lessons learned in his Mama’s kitchen. Dogs were another passion, from Collies to Affenpinschers to the Corgi and Cane Corso that survive him.

He is survived by his partner of 37 years, Clint Sims, His sister, Maudie Martin (Randy) and brother, Cleve Foskey (Joan), many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held August 6, 2026, at his home at 3932 Upper River Road, Gray, GA. He would want us to share stories of his life and enjoy the garden that he put so much time and care into during his last years. Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Macon, GA.
