Clara Mae Jones Woody

Clara Mae Jones Woody, 94, of Macon, died Wednesday, December 23, 2020.  A graveside service will be held Sunday, December 27, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at Ramah Cemetery in Gordon, Georgia with the Reverend Kim Washburn officiating.  The family may be contacted at the residence.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 886 Mulberry St., Macon, GA 31201.

Daughter of the late Isaac and Pearl Holder Jones, Mrs. Woody was a charter member of Shurlington Baptist Church and Greenwood Baptist Church, a member of Ruth Sunday School Class, and the Senior Adult Choir.  She loved working in the yard and gardening.

Mrs. Woody was preceded in death by husband, Oren W. Woody, and son, Kester Wilfred Woody.

Mrs. Woody is survived by her son, Oren Wilfred Woody, II (Martha) of Macon; grandchild, Ashley Woody Petty (Ike) of Carthage, North Carolina; and great grandchildren, Clay Petty and Sarah Petty, both of Carthage, North Carolina; step grandchildren, Stephen Mock (Mary) and Amy Etheridge (Travis), both of Macon; step great grandchildren, Adam Haynes (Megan) of Indiana, and Travis Haynes of Macon; sister, Pearl Morgan of Milledgeville, Georgia; and her little beloved Chihuahua, Katie.
