Clara Ward Harris

Clara Ward Harris, 90, passed away Saturday July 15, 2017. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 17, 2017, at 11:00 AM, in the chapel of Hart's Mortuary at the Cupola. Burial will be at Macon Memorial Park. The family will greet friends at the Cupola one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the donor's favorite charity. She was married to the late John Robert Harris Jr. for 47 years. She was a member of Lizella Baptist Church and was retired from Southern Bell after 40 years of service. Mrs. Harris was a member and Present Matron of the Lizella 390 Order of the Eastern Star and was Past President of the Telephone Pioneers. She was preceded in death by her parents, Olen and Edith Ward; and her brothers, Carl D. Ward and Edwin Ward. Survivors: Son, Christopher Harris; Granddaughter, Jeannette Chandell (Paul) Johnson; Great grandchildren, Haley, Lauren and Daniel Johnson; Niece, Denise W.
