Chuck Hamm, 64, of Macon, passed away January 1, 2018. Services will be held at 3:00PM Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road, Macon, Georgia 31210 with Dr. Mark Hudgins officiating. A reception will follow immediately after. Chuck was born in Sanford, North Carolina. He had a lifelong passion for music. He moved to Macon in 1976 to manage the Record Bar at the Macon Mall. He was production manager at WMGT-41 for 22 years. He then went to work at Fusion Point for 11 years. Throughout the years, he worked as a professional musician. He recorded music and jingles at Capricorn Records, Muscadine Studios and Leon Russell's Church Studio in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Chuck won awards for songwriting, a Gold Record for musical promotion, ADDYs for jingles and an appreciation award from Kids Yule Love. Chuck Hamm was kind and compassionate, a loving son and brother, a thoughtful husband, and loyal friend. He was the son of the late O.C. Hamm, Sr. and Juanita Harmon Hamm. Chuck is survived by his wife of 34 years, Wendy Chrismon Hamm of Macon; Sisters, Mary Anne Finch of Morehead City, North Carolina, and Susan Schoonderwoord of Raleigh, North Carolina; mother-in-law, Bebe Chrismon of Macon; sisters-in-law, Connie Callahan of Burlington, North Carolina and Carol Kimsey (Bob) of Macon; brother-in-law, Jamie Patterson (Vanessa) of Atlanta; and numerous nieces and nephews.
