Christy Marie Chancey

Macon-Christy Marie Chancey died on Tuesday, March 24, 2009. Services will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road. Burial will be at Sardis Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, March 27, 2009 between 5:00-7:00PM at Hart's at the Cupola. Family can be contacted at the home of Leonard and Kathleen Chancey, 568 Fifth Road, Haddock, and the home of Mae Chancey, 7325 Nowell Road South, Macon. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made to Grace Primitive Baptist Church, c/o Larry Wiggins, Treasurer, 272 Sandpiper Lane, Byron, GA 31008.

Christy graduated from Jones County High School in 1999, and from Mercer University in 2004. She was pursuing a Master's degree from University of Denver. She was employed by Georgia Heart and Vascular Center.

Christy was the sweetest person we have ever known. Her memory will be forever treasured. Survivors include her parents, Leonard C. and Mary Kathleen Chancey of Haddock; brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Sandy Chancey of Macon; nephews, Mason and Caleb Chancey of Macon; grandmother, Mae Chancey of Macon; aunt and uncle, Kathy and David Geeslin of Macon; cousins, Michael and Kelly Geeslin of Macon; uncle and aunt, Wayne and Diane Luff of Wilmington, Delaware; and cousins, Robert and Kristen Luff of Wilmington, Delaware.
