Christopher Clayton Schoettler

Christopher Clayton "Chris" Schoettler: 47, of Macon, Georgia passed away Friday, December 19, 2008. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, December 23, 2008 in the chapel of Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road at 11:00 a.m. A visitation will be held Monday, December 22, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to the college fund established for Matthew Schoettler, c/o Atlantic Southern Bank. Mr. Schoettler grew up in Hanover Park Illinois, and was a graduate of The University of Illinois. He was the owner and operator of A Little Extra, Incorporated Catering Company which served Tattnall Square Academy, Covenant Academy, Windsor Academy, and St. Joseph's School. He was a coach at Vine-Ingle Little League, and managed the Rookery for 10 years. Being an avid Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan, he and his son toured every Major League Baseball Park in the U.S.

He is survived by his son, Matthew Schoettler of Macon; mother, Joy Freckmann of Murrieta, California; father, Bob Schoettler of Sugar Land, Texas; two sisters, Tracy Lyons of Phoenix, Arizona and Julie Schoettler of Bastrop, Texas; and a brother, David Schoettler of Murrieta, California.
