Christine Upshaw Rogers

Christine Upshaw Rogers, 84, of Macon, GA, passed away Monday, July 11, 2022.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at 2:00pm at Bradley Baptist Church with the Reverends Wayne Lenderman and Steve Johnson officiating.  The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be held at Swift Creek United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Christine was born in Bibb County on September 14, 1937, to the late Lonnie and Lillace Upshaw. Christine was educated in the Jones County public school system. She also attended Crandall Business College in Macon, Georgia.

Christine retired from McKesson and Robbins Drug Company after 22 years of service and then worked at the Coliseum Medical Center with 13 years of service. She enjoyed cooking, sports, and traveling.

Christine was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Bill Rogers; son, Randy Rogers; granddaughters, Kristy Hill and Whitney Boyd; brothers, Cecil, Tommy, and Larry Upshaw; and sister, Louise Jones.

Christine is survived by her daughters, Cathy Goad of Macon, and Lynn Whitehead (Frank) of Gray; son, Chad Rogers of Macon; grandchildren, Trey Whitehead (Caitlyn), Marie Cox (Bobby), Ashley Rogers, Chase Rogers, Danielle Rogers, and Tanya Jackson; great grandchildren, Laney Hill, Ellie Whitehead, and Emmy Whitehead; sister, Ann Wilson (Billy) of Macon; brothers, J. B. Upshaw (Nellie) of  Macon, James Upshaw of Macon, and Calvin Upshaw (Mimi) of Buena Vista, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
