Christine Berrong Langston

Christine Berrong Langston, 94, died Thursday, May 5, 2016. A celebration of her life will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 in the chapel of Hart's Mortuary, Cherry Street. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Alzheimer's Association, 886 Mulberry Street, Macon, Georgia 31201. Mrs. Langston was a loving mother and grandmother and a devoted wife. She was a second mom to her neighborhood children. Mrs. Langston was retired from the jewelry business after many years working in various jewelry stores. Mrs. Langston was the daughter of the late Allen C. Berrong and Bertha Eller Berrong of Hiawassee. She is survived by her husband of fifty-eight years, James L. Langston of Macon; son, Jay Alan Langston (Diane) of Richmond, Virginia; daughter, Linda Langston Bush of Macon; grandchildren, Ashley Langston, David Langston and Candler Langston, all of Richmond, Virginia and Kristen Bush Baugh (Justin) of Macon; sister-in-law, Jimmie Berrong of Hiawassee.
