Christine Yarborough Dillard

Christine Yarborough Dillard, 89, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2012. A graveside service will be held at 11AM Friday, November 16, 2012 in Riverside Cemetery with the Reverend Jody Long Officiating. The family will greet friends following the service. A visitation will also be held on Friday from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Magnolia Manor on the fifth floor in the lobby area. Mrs. Dillard was born in Sparta, GA to the late Alfred and Velma Yarborough. After graduating from Sparta High school in 1940, she moved to Macon and worked as a secretary for many years at the A.C. Gledhill Agency and Cassidy Auto Parts. Christine was a member of First Baptist Church of Christ for over 60 years, where she was a faithful member of the Believer's Sunday school class. She is preceded in death by her husband James Robert Dillard, three brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her loving family, son, Robert (Rachel) Dillard of Valle Crucis, NC; two grandchildren, Jessica Huff of Smithfield, NC and Clayton (Merideth) Dillard of Hollysprings, NC; five great grandchildren; one sister, Jeanette Johnson of Sparta, GA and numerous nieces and nephews.
