Chris Davis

Chris Davis, 80, of Macon, died Thursday, June 21, 2018. Funeral services will be held 10:00AM Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at Hart's at the Cupola with the Reverend Stephen N. Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends Tuesday from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at Hart's at the Cupola.

Mr. Davis, the son of the late Arthur Davis and Karma Mann Davis, is predeceased by his daughter Heidi Davis Reece. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force stationed Chaumont, France. While in France, he met his wife of 62 years, Maria Davis. After leaving the service he lived in Indiana working fulltime for Sullair Corporation in addition to farming where he raised black angus cattle until 1982. Mr. Davis retired from Cherokee Brick and Tile after 23 years. He loved family, Nascar, westerns, crossword puzzles, hunting, fishing and restoring classic cars.

Mr. Davis is survived by his wife, Maria Davis; three children, Keenis Davis of Houston, Texas, Rodger Davis (Ginger) of New Carlisle, Indiana, and Brigitta Davis Ward (Gerald) of Marietta, Georgia; six grandchildren, Kristopher Davis, Dariean Ward, Sadi Ward, Dylan Reece, Melony Davis, and Gabriella Reece; four siblings, James Davis, Denita Ton, Wayne Davis, and Carmelita MacLeod.
