Chris Chancey

Hewey Christopher “Chris” Chancey, Jr., 73, of Gray, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2025.  The family will greet friends for a time of visitation on Thursday, May 15, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at the Hart’s Mortuary, Jones County Chapel, located at 307 Pecan Lane, Gray, Georgia.

Chris was born on January 19, 1952, in Jacksonville, Florida, to the late Hewey Christopher Chancey, Sr., and Helen Griffin Chancey.  He retired from Tri-County EMC.  Chris loved golf, fishing, and Nascar, but more than anything, he loved his family.  He will be greatly missed!

Chris is survived by his wife, Teresa “Terry” Boland Chancey; his son, Christopher Lee Chancey (Karen); his grandchildren, Kalei Gabrielle Chancey Pike (Tony), Ethan Christopher Chancey, Dominic Christopher Chancey (Ashley), Macy Renee Chancey, and Gavin Michael Chancey; his daughter-in-law, Amanda Chancey; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Michael Dominic Chancey; and his sister, Queechie Chancey King (Russell).
