Cheryl Ann Peavy

Cheryl Ann Peavy (Collins) entered into the gates of her eternal home surrounded by her loved ones on February 14th, 2026. She was a beloved wife, mama, nanny, & friend to all those that knew her. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at 2:00PM, at Hart’s Mortuary, Jones County Chapel in Gray, GA. The family will greet loved ones for an hour prior to the service in the same location. Burial will follow the funeral service at Gray Memorial Gardens at Cedar Ridge.

Cheryl was born on October 13th,1968 in Pulaski, Virginia, the daughter of Jerry & Patsy Collins. She attended Northeast High School and graduated in 1986. Cheryl was known for her big laugh, big voice, and even bigger heart. She spent her days being a loving wife & First Lady of Faith Baptist Church, a beloved mother, nanny, and friend.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents as well as several aunts and uncles. She is survived by and will be deeply missed by her beloved husband of 18 years, Timothy Peavy and their children: Jonathan Dixon [River and William]; Ashley Jones, spouse Parker, [Allison, Ava, and Aidin]; Victoria Crosby, spouse Steven, [Anita, Madisyn, Calleigh, and Sophie]; Samson Peavy, spouse Ashley, [Grayson]; and Melanie Tipton. Additionally, she is survived by her parents, Jerry and Patsy Collins; one sister, Renee Drinnen; and multiple nieces and nephews.

She was a friend to all that knew her, and God-fearing woman. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Dove Center, Rescue Mission of Middle Georgia, Faith Baptist Church, PO Box 366, Dry Branch, 31020, are encouraged.
