Cheryl "Cheri" Ann Rainey

Cheryl “Cheri” Ann Rainey, of Macon, passed away Friday, December 14, 2018. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2018, at 2:00 PM, in the chapel of Hart’s Mortuary at the Cupola. The Reverend Jeff Cook will officiate. Burial will be private. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted, or donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

Mrs. Rainey was a selfless woman that loved to crochet, refinish furniture, and participate in all types of Art’s and Crafts. Mrs. Rainey consistently opened her home and heart to those around her whenever she could. Helping others was a passion of hers. She was very active in United In Pink and was a member of Forever Pink. Mrs. Rainey had a special place in her heart for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and was committed to making donations. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Brittany Leighann Rainey, her mother, Mercedes Norma Crowder, and her father, Gordon Elijah Crowder.

Survivors: Husband, Raiford Earl Rainey; Daughter, Naomi Leigh Rockafellow; Son, Matthew Elijah Rainey; Daughter, Logan Ann Rainey; Sisters, Jean Allan and Brenda Overturf, and several nieces and nephews.
