Charlie Watts

Charlie Watts, 91, of Macon, passed away Monday, October 16, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Tabernacle Baptist Church, with Pastor Robbie Jones officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tabernacle Baptist Church, 6611 Zebulon Road, Macon, GA 31220. Mr. Watts was a longtime active member, deacon and Sunday school teacher at Tabernacle Baptist Church. He was an avid golfer and member of Middle Georgia Senior Golf Group. He retired from A.S. Hatcher Company with 50 years of service. Mr. Watts is predeceased by first wife, Ruth Park Watts and son, Charles Watts, Jr. Mr. Watts is survived by his wife, Betty Owens Watts; daughter, Jenni Carter (Jimmy) of Marietta; grandchildren, Jocelyn Sullivan (Billy) of Galveston, TX, Joni Adams (Brian) of Marietta, Jenna Matheny (Jacob) of Acworth; great-grandchildren, Ella, Mallie Jaymes, Delaney and Riley Anne Sullivan, MaCayla and Carter Adams; sister, Sara Watts (Jim) of Yatesville, GA.
