Charlie Goode Holt

Charlie G. Holt, 101, passed away Thursday, November 29, 2012. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, December 2, 2012 at 2:00PM in the chapel of Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road, with burial at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The Reverend Bob Shell will officiate. The family will greet friends one hour prior to service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Liberty United Methodist Church, 6511 Houston Road, Macon, GA 31216. Mr. Holt was born in Macon, GA to the late Ernest Patrick Holt and Mary Lou Pearl Skipper. He was a faithful member of Liberty United Methodist Church and B.F. Vinson Sunday School class. Charlie worked for Peeler Hardware for forty three years. He is predeceased by his wife, Mary Connell Holt; sister, Ella Stokes; and nephew, John E. Stokes. Survivors include his nephews, Eugene Stokes (Miriam) of Palatka, FL and Robert M. Stokes (Alice) of Jacksonville, FL; and numerous great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
