Charlie Mae Harris

Charlie Mae Harris, 91, of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away on Friday, December 20, 2024.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM., on Thursday January 2, 2025, at Mt. Sinai Church, located at 5710 Mt. Carmel Road, Gay, Georgia. Burial will immediately follow the service at Mt. Sinai Church Cemetery.

Charlie Mae was born on April 20, 1933, to the late Charlie Malone Jr., and the late Annie Cartwright Malone in Athens, Alabama. She received Christ in her life at an early age. In her early adulthood she moved to Atlanta, Georgia where she spent most of her life and she later married the late Norman Harris. She enjoyed playing bingo and collecting antiques, especially antique dolls. Charlie Mae was kindhearted and always placed other people's needs before her own.  She loved to spend time with her family and especially her grandchildren, playing games and spending time outdoors.

Charlie Mae is survived by her daughters, Patricia Brown of Macon, Georgia and Joyce Malone, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, son, Kenneth Hughley of Fayetteville, Georgia; nine grandchildren; many great and great-great grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, Charlie Mae is preceded in death by her sister, Eloise Griffin and brother, George Malone.

Reverend Wille Sinkfield will be officiating.
