Milledgeville-Charlie Wright "CW" Perkins died Wednesday, June 22, 2011. Funeral services will be at 11:00AM on Friday, June 24, 2011 at Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road with Pastor Tim Kelly officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be between 7:00-9:00PM on Thursday, June 23, 2011 at the Cupola. Family may be reached at the residence of Shirley Teters, 111 Timber Ridge Drive. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gateway Fellowship Church of God, 6531 Skipper Road, Macon, GA 31216-6109.

Mr. Perkins was born to the late Robert Jackson Perkins and the late Sally Azeline Smith Perkins on November 29, 1918. He served our country in the United States Navy during World War II. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing guitar and singing. Mr. Perkins loved his children and grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, Trellis Virginia Thompson and second wife, Wilma Kate Sammons; son, Richard Wright Perkins; three brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include his children, Karey Perkins Byrd (Marvin) of Milledgeville, Shirley Perkins Hunt Teters (Hank) of Macon, Daniel Vance Perkins (Deborah) of Eatonton, and Jane Hester Fair (Ricky) of Byron; grandchildren, Sidney Wayne Byrd (Donna) of Macon, Travis Eugene Hunt (Helen) of Macon, Christie Barfield (Chris) of Stockbridge, Shawn Hall of Macon, and Crystal Hester of Byron; 9 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
