Charles "Randy" Randall Self

Charles Randall “Randy” Self, 57, of Macon, GA, died Sunday, August 22, 2021.  Funeral services will be held Friday, August 27, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Hart’s at the Cupola with the Reverend Chris Barbee officiating. The family will greet friends Thursday, August 26, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Hart’s at the Cupola.  Burial will be at Macon Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Piedmont Church, 6258 Thomaston Rd., Macon, GA 31220 or Young Life Greater Macon, Sponsoring Joshua Self, www.macon.younglife.org or mail to 141 Cambridge Way, Macon, GA 31220.

Randy was a member of Piedmont Church and the Partain Community Group.  He worked for many years as a buyer for Boeing; and for the past five years, as an exterior product specialist at Lowe’s, Inc.  He was an outstanding athlete at Windsor Academy, playing football, baseball, and basketball.  He was an avid golfer for many years.  He coached many of his son’s teams and was a big UGA fan.  He loved fishing.  Randy was an Al Sihah Shriner.

Randy was preceded in death by his son, Nicholas McKinlee; father, James “Jimmy” McKinley Self; and brother, James Todd Self.

Randy is survived by his wife of 29 years, Diane Davis Self of Macon; children, Tara Marie Self of Atlanta, and Joshua Randall Self of Macon; mother, Carolyn Self of Macon; sisters, Tina Draughon (Bruce) of Macon and Vicky Krattli (Brian) of Jeffersonville, Georgia; father-in-law, Ernie Davis (Doylene) of Macon; mother-in-law, Carol Davis of Macon; sister-in-law, Donna Graham (Frank) of Morganton, Georgia; nieces and nephews, Emily Miller (Clay), Daniel Jester (Kristin), Jessica Molton, Robby Wells, Kathleen Wells, Alyson Wells, and Chandler Graham; and great nephew and great niece, Dalton Jester, and McKenzie Jester.
