Charles Arnold Moore, 66, of Macon, Georgia passed away on November 13, 2014, at Emory Hospital in Atlanta following an extended illness. Services will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2014, at 2:00PM at Ingleside Baptist Church with Dr. Mark Hudgins officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Saturday from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Georgia Transplant Foundation, 500 Sugar Mill Road, Suite 170-A, Atlanta, Georgia 30350. Charles was born on September 11, 1948, in Ocilla, Georgia and spent his childhood years in Brookfield, Georgia. He graduated from Tift County High School Class of 1966. His studies at the University of Georgia were interrupted by a tour of military duty in Italy. He completed his degree in accounting at Valdosta State University, followed by a Master's Degree in Business Administration. Charles was employed by Equitable and AXA as a life insurance agent and certified financial planner. Upon his retirement, he pursued his love of teaching by serving on the staff of Westside High School in the math department. Charles was an active member at Morningside Baptist in Valdosta, Georgia where he taught Sunday School. After relocating in Macon, Georgia, he served as a Sunday School teacher, deacon, and elder at Mabel White Memorial Baptist Church. He is currently a member of Ingleside Baptist Church. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Charles W. and Dorothy Lott Moore, along with two brothers, Carroll Moore of Loganville, Georgia and Ronnie Moore of Crestview, Florida. Charles is survived by his loving wife and college sweetheart, Lynda Kearson Moore and two children, Chuck Moore (Connie) of Brunswick, Georgia and Kerri Moore of Macon. He is also survived by two grandchildren who made his life complete, Connor and Cayden Moore. Other survivors include a sister, Cherrie Musselwhite (Jerry) of Brookfield, Georgia, brothers, Harold Moore of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida and Donnie Moore of Loganville, Georgia, sister-in-law, Yvette Moore of Crestview, Florida and several nieces and nephews. Register online at www.hartsmort.com.
