Charles Wilson Gordon

Charles Wilson Gordon passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2015. A memorial service will be held at 1:00PM on Friday, February 27, 2015 in the chapel of Hart's Mortuary on Cherry Street with Dr. Edwin Chase officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Methodist Home for Children and Youth, PO Box 2525, Macon, Georgia 31203. Born in Brunswick, Georgia, Mr. Gordon was raised at the Methodist Children's Home. A 1962 graduate of Lanier High School, Mr. Gordon sold cars for 35 years. He loved his family, loved to fish, and he loved Georgia Tech. Mr. Gordon's family wants to thank the employees and residents of Ingleside Manor; especially Mrs. Louise Hogan for helping take care of Charlie for the past few years. Survivors include his son, Chuck Gordon of Macon; daughter, Laurie Holder of Macon; grandchildren, Collin Holder and Gibson Holder, both of Macon; former wife, Jackie Gordon of Macon; brother, Joe Gordon of Brunswick, Georgia; and sisters, Nora Pearson of St. Petersburg, Florida and Jean Simmons of Savannah, Georgia.
